About this tool

The editor works like a real document editor: click the text you want to change, type the replacement, and it is updated in place. Add text covers up existing text with a white box, so you can blank out information before sharing a document. Highlight, arrows and drawings make feedback clear. Everything is saved as real vector objects, so added text stays selectable in the finished PDF.

The whole process runs in your browser — your document never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser. Your document is read on your device, edited locally, and the result is saved straight to your downloads — it is never transmitted.
Can I change the text that is already in the PDF?
Yes — use the “Edit text” tool: click any text in the document, type the replacement, and the original text is covered with a white box while your new text is drawn on top in a matching size. Everything runs in your browser.
Is the old text fully removed, or just covered?
The original text is covered visually with a white box and your replacement is drawn on top, so the document looks correctly edited and the new text stays selectable. On some PDFs the hidden original text may still appear when copying the text layer — for legal-grade redaction, use a dedicated redaction tool.
What tools are included?
Add text (with font size, style and colour), whiteout to blank out text, highlight, freehand drawing, rectangles and arrows — plus select/move, undo, clear, zoom and page navigation.
Will the downloaded PDF keep my added text selectable?
Yes. Added text is stored as real text in the PDF, so it stays selectable and searchable after download.
Does it work with large PDFs?
Most documents work well. Very large or image-heavy PDFs use more memory, so for the smoothest experience edit big files on a desktop browser.
